topshop proves Fashion loves tech almost as much as we do..
Last night at the BT Retail Week Technology Awards 2014, Topshop and Inition were honoured to win ‘Project of the Year’ award for the Virtual Reality Catwalk Experience, broadcast during London Fashion Week.
Bringing fashion and technology together for a world’s first, we extended a Virtual Reality invitation to the world of Fashion Week to showcase Topshop’s Unique AW14 collection. Five lucky winners were given the chance to virtually attend the show in Tate Modern’s Turbine Room whilst physically sat in the iconic windows of the flagship store on Oxford Street. This was then available on-demand in-store for fashion and tech fans to experience in the following days.
The project was a lot of fun for us, and gave the lucky winners a rare glimpse into the glamorous world of fashion.
We’re absolutely thrilled to have won and look forward to pushing the boundaries and creating more award winning experiences in the future.
