Polhemus is a leading specialist in premier motion measurement technology that includes 6DOF electromagnetic tracking, motion tracking, eye tracking and 3D laser scanning.

WHAT THE MANUFACTURER SAYS:

The Polhemus FASTRAK is a popular, reliable motion tracking system that delivers real-time accurate 6DOF tracking.

The system has an operational range of approximately five feet with the standard source, with the option to extend the field of range up to ten feet. Utilizing Polhemus’ proprietary AC electromagnetic technology, FASTRAK® provides both position and orientation data with no need for additional calculations.

Since no cameras are used for tracking, there are no line-of-sight issues, and continuous tracking can be achieved, as with all Polhemus motion trackers. FASTRAK® trackers are used in research studies at some of the most prestigious universities in the world, along with powering flight simulators, and many other varied applications.

Adding our ergonomically designed stylus turns FASTRAK® into a free-form digitizer. This allows for free-form, point specific, 3D data capture that is as simple to use as pressing a button, achieving pinpoint accuracy of unlimited data points.
