We supply a huge variety of domes and screens. Dimention and aspect are important variables but our primary categorisation is whether the item is “Hard Shell” or “Deployable”.
WHAT THE MANUFACTURER SAYS:
Hard Shell
Items from our Hard Shell range are of rigid construction and designed for permanent mounting. Within this category our products are available in a number of sizes and configurations or screen shapes, each representing a section of a sphere; full hemisphere, truncated hemisphere (with a single lower straight edge) or a “Panadome” where the spherical section has both upper and lower straight edges. We use the term ImmersaDome for all these products as the result us an immersive visual experience from within a partial sphere or dome.
Our Deployable range is also available in various sizes and all are designed to be simple and quick to set up and break down. These are ideal for temporary exhibition spaces or touring educational displays.
- Deployable, fully hemispherical theatres are inflatable structures that can be supplied in either a single or dual pressure format. The dual pressure system ensures a constant pressure on the display surface allowing the audience to come and go freely during the performance without image distortion.
- Single pressure systems are significantly lighter and less costly but are not suitable for wheelchair access or for the less agile. The screen surface is also subject to distortion while the access aperture is open.
