Smooth, lightweight, and accurate, the Softmouse 3D photogrammetric controller offers unparalleled ease of integration and comfortable two handed operation in photogrammetric systems for GIS and mapping applications, strategic military planning, and many other
3D applications requiring a precise manipulation of elements in a 3D virtual environment.
WHAT THE MANUFACTURER SAYS:
Enhanced user experience
The Geo Supplies Softmouse 3D – USB preserves the ergonomic design and optimal features of the original SoftMouse appreciated by a large number users all over the world. This new version builds on top of that a number of enhancements requested by both users and software developers. The ubiquitous USB interface makes the integration into photogrammetric systems quick, easy, and seamless for the end user as well as the software developer. Softmouse 3D is supported by all major brands of photogrammetry software.
Designed for high-use environments
The relatively small and lightweight twohanded Softmouse 3D device is preferred by users who work for long hours everyday in photogrammetric systems. Its large buttons and ergonomic design reduce hand fatigue and operator-induced input errors. With the Softmouse 3D control device, developers can easily create streamlined operations that support inputting data in highly intensive shift-work environments. End users can quickly customize the software operation mapping software control functions to the many buttons available.
Efficient data input
The new Softmouse 3D – USB handles all button input digitally. Through the software, the buttons can be programmed for
functions as single keys or key combinations (for example, reserving the two white buttons as shift functions, as it was with
the original SoftMouse). For compatibility with the legacy software, Softmouse 3D – USB includes a virtual serial port emulator that transmits the mouse movements and button events in the original data format.
