Inition to Exhibit at the Engineering Design Show

Inition will be presenting a range of design and engineering related technologies and applications, including a physical/virtual hybrid presentation tool developed for Thames Water, at the Engineering Design Show 2013.

This year the show, hosted at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, October 2nd and 3rd, will be triple the size it was in 2012 and Inition will be showing how 3D technologies can enhance the design process for engineers across the automotive, defence, medical and oil/gas/energy sectors.

The flagship piece on Inition’s stand (C80) will be the Thames Tideway Tunnel AR presentation tool – a cutting edge mixed media 3D interactive tool designed to show Londoners how a proposed multi-billion pound structure will solve London’s sewerage problems.

Inition developed an app which augments 3D visuals onto a physical model, telling the story of how the tunnels will be constructed and Engineering Design Show delegates will be amongst the first to try it.

Inition will also be presenting the Artec 3D scanner range and the new SMARTTRACK; a plug & play tracking solution from ART (Advanced Real-time Tracking).

Our 3D printing consultant Rob Jeffries will be taking part in the 3D printing discussion “Additive Manufacturing: What’s In It For Me?” – a debate questioning the true value of the technology for designer engineers.

Also present will be the award winning zSpace Holographic Display running Patchwork3D (Lumiscaphe) visualisation 3D software.

If you are visiting the Engineering Design Show and would like to try the applications/technology for yourself, please visit stand C80, Jaguar Exhibition Hall, Ricoh Arena, Coventry. If you would like to arrange a one-to-one meeting in advance, please contact either Robert Jeffries or Shannon Dowsing by calling 020 7377 2949.

Internal Engineering Design Week

Don’t worry if you are not able to attend the Engineering Deisgn show. Inition will be hosting an internal week of design/engineering technologies and applications from October 28th to November 1st. If you would like to arrange a private tour during that week, please email Kathy Boyce on kathy.boyce@inition.co.uk.
