The project was produced by 16oz, a London-based production company and consisted of over 30 minutes of high-definition 3D. Inition worked closely with 16oz on all aspects of the 3D and produced 5 minutes of computer generated content as part of the film.

The event was held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in September 2006.

<atom:published xmlns:atom="http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom">2006-10-04T13:00:00Z</atom:published>
<cfi:id>4</cfi:id><cfi:read>true</cfi:read><cfi:downloadurl>http://www.inition.co.uk/inition/news.xml</cfi:downloadurl><cfi:lastdownloadtime>2007-01-29T11:08:56.545Z</cfi:lastdownloadtime>

In the Cox's Seat at the Henley Royal Regatta

Inition were commissioned by the River and Rowing Museum in Henley-on-Thames to produce an immersive experience giving visitors a unique feeling for what it is like to take part in a race at the world famous Henley Royal Regatta.

Inition shot the 2005 Royal Regatta and Women's Regatta in high-definition 360° using a custom developed rig. We also did all the post-production in house and developed software to allow playback of the 360 video inside a head-mounted display. The 'In the Cox's Seat' experience is now permanently installed at the Museum.
