ShapeHand Plus with Wireless Setup
ShapeHandPlus provides all of the same data as the ShapeHand, plus it gives position and orientation of both the hand and the arm. X, Y, Z coordinate data, BVH or C3D data can be captured for the arm as well using the ShapeHandPlus. ShapeHandPlus uses the ShapeTape with the integrated inertial sensor.
This price includes the ShapeHand and the normal components that come with the ShapeHand, a 2 port serial to USB Edgeport converter, and the wireless setup. In addition, it comes with the ShapeTape for the arm and a sleeve for the arm with an integrated strap for the upper arm.
The wireless setup in needed because the new ShapeOrient type ShapeTape, with the integrated orientation sensors (inertial) in the electronics box are now used with ShapeHand Plus, and this type of tape requires the data concentrator (on board computer). This wireless setup supports sixteen serial devices, and comes with a wireless router, an on board computer, 2 batteries, one battery charger, an Ethernet cable, an integrated 802.11 B wireless card, and a slot to add a flash memory card to store data on board rather than wirelessly.
NOTE: If orientation changes of the upper body are required for the application, an orientation sensor for the back should be ordered. The cost of a single orientation sensor is $1300.00
If a customer wished to see orientation changes of the head, upper body, and pelvis, a Tri-orient orientation sensor should be ordered, which provides an orientation sensor for all three areas. Its cost is $3300.00.
