Andy Millns,  Creative Director, operating Inition's 3DVidRig.

Andy Millns
Founder & Director, Inition Ltd.

Andy has over 15 years experience in stereoscopic 3D production and technology. Andy's 3D knowledge spans genres such as music, fashion, sport, wildlife and advertising and live multi-camera broadcast to cinema and TV.

In 2001 Andy jointly founded Inition, a pioneering 3D production and technology company where he has since worked on a number of ground-breaking projects. Andy conceived and technically produced the first ever live 3D transmission via Sky's network featuring Keane at Abbey Road Studios (http://bit.ly/bBWLMn). Andy also produced England’s home RBS Six Nations rugby matches, the largest live 3D sports broadcast in the UK, watched by over 18,000 people in 40 sell-out cinemas nationwide (http://bit.ly/aTKE9J).

More recently Andy was the technical producer and lead stereographer on a pioneering wildlife shoot in Kenya with renowned Wildlife film-makers Deeble and Stone (www.deeblestone.com). He was also the lead stereographer for the BBC Natural History's first ever 3D shoot in the wild - with the same team in Kenya (http://bit.ly/b5I3r5). In July 2010, Andy co-founded sister company Pointy Stick Films, a director-led production company designed to realise the creative potential of stereoscopic 3D and drive creativity across the industry.

South African Tourist Board
Stereo supervisor on 15 minute 2D to 3D conversion project for 3D projection as part of touring exhibition in UK. (Agency: Ogilvy)

Satellite Broadcast
Stereo supervisor on UK’s first 3D Satellite Transmission.

Philips WowVx Commercial
Stereographer and stereo consultant for Philips WowVx 3D Commercial. (Agency: DDB, London).

MPH Show
Producer and stereoscopic supervisor of 6 minute CGI sequence for finale of large theatrical car show. Shown in London, Birmingham to a combined audience of over 100,000 people. Playing in Johannesburg, South Africa in February 2008. (Agency: Clarion).

Pop promo
Stereographer on UK's first 3D pop promo - shot on the Thames in London by Can Communicate.

Red Bull
Stereographer at Red Bull race between F1 Car, Superbike and Race Plane at Silverstone F1 Circuit.

2006

World Cup Finals, Berlin
Consultancy, stereo rig design and stereographer for 3 stereoscopic filming rigs at the World Cup Finals in Berlin’s Olympic Stadium. Operated one of the rigs during 4 group stage games and at the final and trophy presentation. (Agency – Haptics, ZA)

Tigi (Toni and Guy) World Launch
Stereographer on 4 day shoot in London for a 30 minute piece for Toni and Guy’s World Launch at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas. Shoot deployed high-speed (1000fps) 3D camera rig. Also supervised creation of 4 minutes of CGI and co-ordinated 3D projection at the event.

Stereographer for Renault promo shoot at Paul Ricard HTTT - F1 test track in Provence.

2005

Aqua Lisa
Stereographer at studio-based shoot for ‘home of the future’ for Aqua Lisa.

2004

RSPB
Stereographer on 5 minute animated production shown on UK’s first mobile 3D cinema.

GE Healthcare 2001
Acted as stereo supervisor on several projects including live action and CGI.

2003

Starlight Express
Designed and commissioned World’s Brightest Digital 3D Projection system (4 x 10k lumen projectors) for Starlight Express US Tour.

2001

Inition
Part of the four-strong team that formed Inition.
